Marlston House is a unique and spectacular venue to hold your wedding and reception. Located within 60 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside, Marlston House was built at the end of the 19th century.
Set at the end of a sweeping drive, with stunning grounds and a lake, Marlston House is a wonderfully romantic period house which is both grand, and yet comfortable and welcoming with antique furniture, sofas for relaxing and a warm, cosy atmosphere.
The house has three main functions rooms, two with open fireplaces which can be lit in winter. There is ample on-site parking and you and your guests can enjoy this fabulous venue in complete privacy and seclusion.
The Great Hall is an impressive room with stained glass windows, a high, beamed ceiling and can seat up to 110 guests on round tables of 10 for your wedding breakfast. For canapé or evening receptions, The Great Hall will accommodate up to 250 standing guests. The Great Hall has a magnificent fireplace where a log fire may be lit in the winter months.
Outside, the balustraded South facing terrace overlooking the gardens is perfect for a champagne reception with steps leading down to the sweeping lawns below. For guests who prefer to sit down, there are several wooden benches and a bar may be set up outside to serve drinks on sunny warm days.
The beautiful Grade 2 listed picturesque parish church, St Mary’s Marlston dates back to the 13th centuary and seats 120. There are beautiful stained glass windows inside St Mary's and the church is only a short walk from the main house making it an idyllic venue for a traditional church wedding before your reception at Marlston House.
Marlston House is licensed for civil and partnership ceremonies for up to 120 guests.
